Quality Assurance Bending Tester

A quality assurance bending tester is required for any automated stress grading operation, and for those using, or considering entering into the visual grade verification scheme.

The output from the QA Tester is used to:

• Check the accuracy of the stress grader (providing data for its calibration)
• Confirm that the timber graded has the bending strength properties claimed it
• Provide proof of grade, evidence that can be used as a marketing edge

A mill's reputation may rest on its ability to produce correctly graded timber, our QA Tester has been designed with this in mind. 
It accurately measures the bending properties of timber.  It can test, as a joist the normal range of structural timber sizes from 70x35 up to 290x45 in accordance with AS/NZS4063:1992.

• Maximum timber width 300mm
• Maximum timber thickness 60mm
• Maximum timber span 5400mm
• Maximum load applied 5 tons

Upon completion, these machines only require the span to be set before they are ready for operation.

The QA Tester is independently calibrated and should be re-calibrated yearly.
